About Cheryl
Cheryl Bernstein, Tuck-Bernstein Design’s principal, had been a native New Yorker all her life. Recently, she decided it was time for her own “climate change” so she packed up and headed West, found a beautiful piece of land in Alexander Valley’s wine country, and began creating her own design project from the ground up. It was a labor of love from the time the land was purchased. The bucolic setting was randomly dotted with mature California Oak trees and massive boulders; the goal was to design a home that would be nestled within the landscape while preserving these gorgeous trees. The entire project was designed to include many of Cheryl’s treasures that were collected from her travels over the years.
Cheryl has been creating interior spaces for the past 20 years with an artistic style all her own. She is an ASID member and has been awarded for her excellence in service & design by her clients and recognized on Houzz receiving awards for five consecutive years. She has an extensive portfolio of work that offers a variety of design solutions for a cross section of clients. Her experience includes residential homes & commercial businesses. Cheryl’s strength is problem solving within the design scheme, taking an unusual space and designing a high functioning environment. Simple walls become sculptural elements and niches become functional spaces making them fabulous & fun. She works side by side with her clients and contracting team, and is equally as happy to work alongside your team.
